1st Costume Party

Today was another typical Monday! Except tonight for Kaylee's Girl Scout meeting, they got to have a 'family' Halloween costume party. Kaylee, Natalie, Lily, and I went. Joe as usual didnt want to go so he got to sit with Nathan. Lillian was a restless little stinker.. So that means that I didnt get to sit and help Kaylee and Natalie with their crafts or decorating their cookies. Oh well.. I tried to take pictures when I could, but Kaylee's feathery witch hat covered her face in nearly every single picture.. Here are some of the pictures that I did get... I'm off to bed now.. Yeah 9:00pm and I am going to bed! I am tired! Been up since before 5.. blah!

New News

Joe and I have decided to make the switch to Verizon for our cell phone coverage because they have better coverage. So what that means, you will need to call or text us to get ahold of us. We will NOT be paying for the internet through our phones. I will hit up wi-fi locations to keep my blog up-to-date, but we will not be actively using Facebook. I even think that Joe has now deleted his account. Tomorrow Kaylee has her Girl Scouts Family Halloween Costume Party. The kids all have their costumes now.. Kaylee is a 'pretty witch' as she says, Natalie is a pink princess, Lillian is a butterfly, and Nathan has a lion costume! Natalie paired up with Grandpa Steve today. Right away this morning she came to the farm with him to do some work and get eggs, and then this afternoon she rode with to go get bread for the cattle. She is a Grandpa & Eddie tick if I have ever seen one. Lily showed off her two new molars today! Yup she has two top molars that came through that we didnt ev...

The Hunt

Joe's hunt for work continues.. He got a call from Caterpillar in Owatonna this afternoon! He has an interview scheduled for Wednesday @ 4! I feel like this is it! This is where we are heading!  I am nervous and excited all in one! I am affraid to leave the only home town that I have ever known.. Yeah I have lived in Bloomington (when I was a small child) and Chaska (after Joe and I got married) but after having spent 16+ years of my life in Shakopee, this is going to be hard.. I cant imagine how hard it'll be on Joe. He has been here all but 4 years of his life.. I am also worried about Kaylee having to switch schools again.. It took her half of the year last year to adjust to the new school and new friends.. But as it is just an interview at this point, I am not going to sweat bullets over it just yet. :o) Here is my hunter.. <3   (his trail camera took this one) Today we also took pictures of Nathan. Just some snap shots at home, but it'll have to do as his '3 mon...

10/20/10

Today I learned that one of my sisters friends was killed in a car accident last night. Not only was she killed, but she was also 6 days away from her due date with a baby girl that they had named Madisyn.. My heart goes out to the family of Shyla (the friend), and the family of her boyfriend (the baby's dad) as they all deal with this great loss. It breaks my heart to think that this young mom-to-be never had the chance to hold her baby girl! My heart breaks thinking about the baby girl that never even got a chance to take that first breath of air! My heart breaks that Shyla's mom will never have another chance to be a grandma as Shyla was her only child! It breaks my heart that Madisyn's daddy has lost his first baby! Etc! My heart just all around breaks over this. I can't say that I knew Shyla well as I only remember that she had a truck and that I had met her a few times.. But what I do remember is that everytime I saw her she was smiling. And she was always very sw...

Tastefully Simple Party

Today Joe found out that he did not get the job that we have been hoping for.. He is upset and that is understandable.. His manager, Lynn, told him that she believes that they will be hirring in January again. She also asked him to please come chat with her about his interview so she can help him out and prepare him for a better interview the next time around. Which seems very nice of her. She also told Joe that the Owatonna job that he applied for is about 3 weeks out from even interviewing and that she would understand if he were to persue that job.. She also mentioned that she hoped that he will stay in Brooklyn Park. How can you ask that of someone who had their heart so set on getting this job?! If he is that good that you can ask him to stay and ask him to come talk with you to help improve his interview skills, then why didnt you just hire him this round! Ugh! But at least she is offering her help. Tonight we ended up at Lori's house for a Tastefully Simple party.. My girlfr...

Edinborough Park

Today Natalie had preschool.. Her one and only day for the week due to MEA! Kaylee has school again tomorrow but is off Wed-Fri! It was a typical Monday morning.. Joe let me know when he called today that his line lead thinks that the guys that applied for the full time permanent jobs through Caterpillar will know tomorrow.. *praying like a crazy fool* When Joe told me that, I instantly became nauseous! I did some cleaning today too.. Trying to get things in a place for winter because we have radiators for heat and we cant have anything blocking them, which means nothing on one whole wall in each room.. :-/ Trust me! Its very hard to do with this many people and all of our stuff haha! I also made my Cheesey Italian Tortellini!!!! Yummy!!!! I will post the recipe below incase you are interested. Whooo hooooo! After dinner, Kaylee, Natalie and I went to Edinborough Park in Edina for a play date with some friends! When it was time to leave, I put my mechanic skills to the test! Bec...

10/15-10/17

Friday night I got to go to a friends house and we had a MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers) moms night out!! Talk about relaxing! We played spoons and apples to apples (neither games that I had ever played). I didnt get home until oh.. 11:30 or 12:00 (midnight) and got there at 6!! Whoo hoo to a kidless night filled with friends, food and games!!!! Saturday Joe hunted! He came home for a little while and we went to Target to get Nathan diapers and TOILET PAPER!! This is the first time that we have had to buy Nathan diapers as he got lots from his baby shower! Thank you SO much everyone for that!! 3 months old and its 3 months I got to save on! It is also the first time in 6 months that I have had to buy toilet paper! (I hit a jack pot HUGE sale price and stocked up six months ago!) I had the hardest time remembering to buy toilet paper even after having run out Thursday!! So Kleenex to the rescue! Ugh! He went back to hunting after we ran our errands and didnt get home until almost 9:...

Peter's Pumpkins

Today Joe had an interview at Caterpillar in Brooklyn Park! He said that it 'felt good' (went good) so we will see what the managers think.. Joe said he should know next week! Please pray that he gets this job! He has been working as a temp with them for the past 10 months.. Its time to land a permanent job and he really likes the guys that he is working with and he gets along with everyone there as well! I got to join Natalie and her preschool class on their first field trip. We went to Peter's Pumpkin Patch. They are just a mile up the road from where we live. My good friend Vinessa watched Lillian and Nathan for me so I could go with Natalie! I wouldnt have been able to go if she wouldnt have done that for me!! THANK YOU SO MUCH NESS!!!!! We had the most absolutely perfect weather for this trip today!!! The kids got a little pumpkin painted on their faces, got to walk through the pumpkin patch to see lots of pumpkins (and the pumpkin flowers) and they got to walk through...

New Girl Scout Troop!!

Tonight Kaylee joins her new Girl Scout Troop!! I am so very excited about this! She will be meeting at the 'Log Cabin' where I used to meet with my Troop when I was younger! I am very interested in going to see the place and how much it has changed in the last 15 years! A part of me is also nervous for Kaylee just because she had been with her other troop for the last two years. But this is a good change! With this troop she will be with a school friend and she will get to see her dad more often throughout hunting season. Every other Monday and then Tuesdays are the days she will see him as she has religion class on Wednesdays and he will be gone hunting on Thursdays and Fridays and Saturdays!! .....Continued..... Kaylee did very well at her first new troop meeting! It turns out that not only is one of her best friends from her class in her troop, but also a gal from her troop last year AND one of her BFFs from Eagle Creek!! Yup!! One of her Kindergarten friends is in her troo...

Our weekend

Friday night Joe and I were kid-less.. Yup not one single baby with us on Friday.. We ended up going to Granite City in Eagan for Steve's 50th birthday. It was yummy! We were in bed at 9:17! I still had some trouble sleeping.. but not near as much as I do when the kids are home haha! I woke up around 6am and couldnt go back to sleep until shortly after 7, and then I woke up for good around 8:30.. We ended up taking our pumpkins to an old folks home and then it seems like we did a whole lot of nothing afterwards.. We did go have lunch at Panera! (My new favorite place to eat or take a mini 'me break') Then we went to pick Nathan up (who stayed with Amy and Matt)! Thank you SO much guys for taking him!! Then it was off to urgent care and the pharmacy in Savage. Yup! Nathan was cranky and hadnt been sleeping very well and was really pokey at eating his bottle so I knew he had an ear infection. Not only did the doctor tell us that Nate-man has an ear infection, he also has thru...

This Week..

This week in one word = terrible! We found out that Joe and I will no longer have insurance effective 10/31.. Joe has NOT heard back on the two job that he applied for through CAT.. etc.. We had a park playdate with some moms and their daughters on Monday from Kaylee's class. It was fun to sit and chat with other moms. Natalie even got to come with to play with Emma. Kaylee's friend Kelsey's little sister. They got along so well that when we left Natalie asked me if I had my camera so she could take a picture of her friend so when she isnt with her then she can remember her. I thought it was very cute!! On a brighter note, Kaylee, Natalie, and Lily witll be heading down to visit Grandma Candi, Papa John, and Bre! The older girls are very excited! I dont think Lily realizes it yet. This will only be her second sleep over ever.. Her first was when Joe and I were in the hospital having Nathan.. I am a little nervous as she has a routine, but I am sure she will be just fine and...

Twin Cities Harvest Festival & Maze

Today was fun! Joe, Kimmy and I took ALL 4 of the kids to Twin Cities Harvest Festival and Maze! This is located in Brooklyn Park! Nathan hung out in the stroller while Lily, Natalie, Kaylee, Kimmy and I played in the corn bin!! The girls burried Kimmy and Kimmy and I burried the two older girls! Lily got burried up to her waist. She looked like she was enjoying herself as much as we all did!! After we played in the corn bin we made our way to the maze!! This year it is the Twins theme!! Completely awesome!!!! They even hid 20 different questions throughout the maze and on the back of the map they gave us some multiple choice options and we had to put the Twins players names with each question. The players ranged from todays players to the 1970's!! If you answer all 20 questions correctly they will put your name in for a drawing for next year season tickets!! Kimmy and I are crossing our fingers and toes praying we get those tickets! How awesome would that be!! The awesome maze! Af...

10/1/10

The last week has been busy.. I am not going to blog about it because I dont believe that anything fun and exciting happened.. As for today.. it was our typical Friday.. school, post office, bank, (special trip to JoAnn Fabrics), clean up at home, and then when Joe got home from work I was let out to go have dinner and a drink with Amy! It was SOO nice to sit and talk with a girlfriend! Joe and the kids headed to his parents house around 4:30 so I left at that time as well. I went to the gas station to fill my gas hog of a van and then I went to Chili's with Amy. I got to sit and read into my magazine for 45 or so minutes as I got there early, and then we finally left around 8:30! Talk about awesome! And now our older two kiddos are off at grandma's for a sleepover! *extra nice bonus* Tomorrow I will be heading to the Chanhassen Community Center for a vendor event / craft show in the morning. Then I will be heading to the Shakopee Fire Station for their open house. I will have ...
