8/31/10

This morning went a little smoother.. We woke up, Kaylee got herself ready, I fed the three younger kids and changed the diapered ones.. Then we watched Curious George and off to the bus Kaylee went.. When my alarm went off this morning I hopped right up and shut it off and then crawled back into my bed.. I have been SO tired lately! I really hope that Nathan can learn to sleep at night and soon! I miss my sleep.. Dont get me wrong, Nathan is totally worth missing sleep haha but I still wish we could get more sleep! Tonight we went to Carver.. Joe cooked the ribs we bought at Target on an awesome sale price!! He packed enough for two lunches out of the whole rack! Haha! Can we say porker!? Here is Kaylee waiting for the bus this morning! *Note: She got her hair cut last night!

1st Day - Second Grade

The title says it all.. Kaylee started 2nd grade this morning!! After a rushed morning of fighting with the dresser to put out the PERFECT outfit and finding the run away glasses that little miss Sticky Fingers Natalie hid in the case on MY dresser, Kaylee got herself to school looking as cute as always and even more grown up then I am ready for! Daddy sent a text to me this morning after I sent him a picture of her waiting for the bus that said "she's getting too big.. stick back in the crib mama" my response.. "yeah... right." lol! There is no stopping her or any of the others from growing up too fast!! The world has rushed todays children to become "older" sooner.. There is no such thing as letting a kid be a kid anymore.. Thank heavens we live on the farm right now.. My girls have already experienced way more then I did as a kid in just the two years that we have been here!! From riding on tractors, to bailing hay, to feeding the cows they have don...

Nickelodeon Universe

Today was a fun-filled day! Joe, Kaylee, Natalie and I spent the day at Nickelodeon Universe in the Mall of America. The girls had a BLAST! We started off with about an hour and a half of rides and then we went up to the 3rd level food court for some lunch.. Once we were finished with luch we took a bathroom break and headed back down to the main level to tackle three and a half more hours of rides.. Then we went off to Häagen-Dazs for some ice cream!! It was VERY YUMMY!!!! That ended our trip at the Mall of America as we headed home to get Lily and Nathan from Amy who watched them so we could do this with the older girls! Thank you Amy!!!! The girls got baths and are in bed now as Kaylee has her first day of second grade tomorrow! I am sure I will have pictures of that for you tomorrow!!!

8/28/10

This morning we drove out to Apple Valley to bring my cousin her shirts that she forgot in the van the last time I saw her.. The girls fought the whole way there and the whole way back.. It made for two very cranky parents.. When we got back to town we stopped at Joes sister's house to pick up two unlimited ride wrist bands for Nickelodeon Universe! That is where we will be going tomorrow rather then Valleyfair. It'll be Joe, Kaylee, Natalie, and I! The babies will be staying with a good friend of the family! We then headed to Carver to visit with Joes grandma and aunt. After a few hours we ended up going to Hugo for Vicki to pick up a 12x8 dog kennel.. The babies, Joe, Vicki and I went to do that while the older girls went with grandma and Jeannie (granny's friend) to church! We all got back to the house at nearly the exact same time.. I also picked up Nathan's pictures! They turned out pretty cute! Then we got Domino's Pizza for dinner, visited for a little while ...

8/26/10

Today was nothing new.... It was just Lily, Nathan and I until Joe got home from work. After he came home we went to get the mail and then headed up to his parents house to get Kaylee and Natalie. That visit didnt last long.. Steve was crabby and Joe got yelled at for no good reason so Joe got pissed and we left.. Oy! Then it was off to get dinner.. and then we came home.. It has been nice to sit at home all night.. Well until I attempted to restore my iphone and lost internet connection and got locked out of my phone.. So Natalie and I ventured down to Caribou to use wi-fi.. yeah they didnt have a very good signal tonight so we came back to the house to get Joe's phone so I could call my cousin Steve and ask him how to get it into a 'safe-mode' so I could continue with the restore! As usual Steve was able to help and my phone is back to perfect! :) Thanks Steve!! Joe sent me a text message earlier today.. A few jobs are open in Owatonna at their Caterpillar shop.. Joe appl...

Second Grade Open House

Today was a blah sort of day.. There wasnt a whole lot going on.. This morning everyone woke up on a good note.. Kaylee didnt decide to come out of the bedroom until 10am! Im not sure if she was really sleeping that whole time or if she was just hidding in the bedroom.. Either way she was quiet and didnt fight with Natalie haha.. Natalie was pretty good this morning too! She was helpful and stayed busy with coloring.. Amazingly she kept the crayons in the notebook she got from Grandma Candi.. So that was nice! Lily just hung out and played in her pack n play while I fed Nathan! Once the day got moving we did our normal breakfast and then a few hours later was lunch and then Joe was home a few more hours later! We had Kaylee's second grade open house tonight. So Natalie went to visit Granny and Vicki and Joe, Kaylee, the babies, and I went to the school. Her teacher seemed nice. She got to find her desk, put away her school supplies, find her locker, mailbox, and lunch stick..There ...

It's photo solutions, NOT scrapbooking

I felt this was some need to know information for my customers, past and future! Below is a post from the consultant that I have chosen to be my up-line when I re-activate. You will see from time to time that I will share her posts with you as I feel that they are important. "I have a surprising number to share with you. There were 28.6 billion photos taken in 2008. Of those, only 9.3 billion were printed. In a recent survery of 2,000 people, 75 percent said they had not done anything tangible with their photos. Where do you think people are putting all of these photos? More importantly, where will those photos be in 5, 10 or 20 years? Unfortunately, technology and busy lifestyles have left many of us feeling overwhelmed and frusterated with the number of photos we now have to deal with. Our photos aren't any less valuable to us, but often it is just hard to know where to start. That is where I come in! I am here to help! Contact me today, I am happy to meet with you and see w...

Good Day

Today was a fairly good day! Kaylee and Natalie had their moments but I guess what kid doesnt right?! Debbie and Madelyn came over to peek at the girl clothes that we are getting rid of to see if Madelyn could use anything. Sure enough miss Madelyn added a box of clothes to her wardrobe! :) I cant wait to see pictures of her in some of those outfits as they were some of my favorites! While Debbie dug through clothes Madelyn and Lillian played together in the pack n' play! Lily was loving having someone to play with! She wanted to lovie on Madelyn! Lily even tried to sit on Madelyn's lap! Madelyn didnt seem to like that so much. Silly 'kissin' cousins'! :) Lily trying to sit on Madelyn's lap Then we headed home so everyone could eat lunch. Nathan and Lily even got to take naps! That was nice! Once Joe got home I was able to head out to Apple Valley to visit with Debbie! First we went to the Burnsville Mall so I could return some jeans Lynn bought for Kaylee for s...

Crabby Day

YUP! Everyone in the house is CRABBY today! Nathan has not been burping well so he has a tummy ache, Lily is cutting new teeth so her mouth is sore, Natalie and Kaylee have been fighting all day, I have too much on my plate and I'm running on very little sleep, and Joe.. who the heck knows why he is so damn crabby! This morning I took all four kids to the courthouse to find out I didnt have to come to the courthouse! After unloading the double stroller, which had a bunch of stuff on top of it, then loading both babies into the stroller to walk in to walk right back out to have to fold up the stroller and put the stuff back on top of the stroller so everything would fit in the van! UGH! Then we went to the bank and grabbed lunch.. Then it was time to come home.. Once Joe got home today we all went to the workforce center so I could grab some paperwork that I need to get Nathan enrolled with our medical insurance. Yeah 7 weeks old today and I still havent done that as I have been bus...

Long day

Well.. Last night was a sleepless night again.. Nathan wanted nothing to do with sleeping... Finally around 6:30am I woke Joe because he slept all night and had him take Nathan so I could sleep! I crashed hard!! I was exhausted! Then 8:00am came around and Kaylee came into my room very upset and woke me up to tell me that Max, her dog, was at the pound! Ugh!!!! So I shot up out of bed and got dressed and began my research on what in the world happened! Max and Tank went for a walk around midnight last night and wandered too far from home and someone called animal control to come get them! So yet again Max added a very non necessary expense to himself! Joe and his brother went to go get their dogs around 11:00 when the kennel opened.. While they picked up the dogs I took Natalie and Lily to the Chaska community center where a girlfriend of mine had a big vendor show. We were there until 11:30 or so.. Natalie and Lily liked seeing Amy, grandma, and Benji (Bre)! I took the girls back by J...

Uncles, Aunt (my mom), Husbands, Cousins, and Children Also today Lillian and Madelyn met for the first time! They were little buddies.. 'Kissin Cousins' is what we called those beautiful little ladies. Here are a few pictures of the love that they shared. Toda...

BLTs & Remember Me

I started this blog late last night and didnt finish it until this morning so it is really intended as Friday, August 20, 2010's blog even though it says Saturday! A fairly simple day again.. The kids and I ran to the post office and the bank this morning. Our typical Friday duty as Joe's check is what we are after each Friday! Direct deposit should hopefully start next week as we sent in the needed form and voided check about two weeks ago. Just before lunch time the older girls left with Joe's brother, Richie, to help him up at Grandma & Grandpa's house. I'm not sure what they helped with but it gave me a little break and allowed quiet time for Lily and Nathan to get a nap in. Once Joe got home we talked about what we wanted to do for the night. I really wanted to go sort through the totes of toys, but Joe wasn't having it. He wanted to go to the LeSueur County Fair where 'Papa John' was to be in the demolition derby. Well we couldn't go do th...

Break night & visit with Auntie Debbie

Today I kicked back and was a bum! That's right! I'll admit it! I was a BUM!! I pulled things out of the girls' closet that were on hangers for the garage sale.. I fed the kids and changed diapers, but other then that I relaxed.. We all went up to Joe's parents house again and I had every intention on going through the totes of toys! That just didn't happen! Instead we sat in the backyard for an hour or so and the girls played on their swingsets! Yup swingsetS! They have two up there.. And we watched a portable canopy tent go up.. Then around 5:30 Nathan and I left to go visit Auntie Debbie and her sisters and niece! I didn't hardly get in the house with Nathan and Debbie, Mary and Laura were swarming me to see who would get the baby first! It was absolutely commical!!!! Debbie and Laura made homemade pizza (cheater style) as Debbie said, and Mary brought a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting! Yummy! I don't think I held Nathan for more then 5 minutes...

More sorting..

I feel like all I did today was sort and organize clothes! Oh wait! That's because that is all I did all day long today!! It started with Kaylee's dresser.. She and I went through her dresser and pulled out EVERYTHING!! Then we separated all of the size 6 clothes from the size 7 and bigger! Then we put everything 7 and bigger into her dresser and everything size 6 we sorted into two piles: #1 was to keep for Natalie and Lily and #2 is to be sold in the garage sale! After Kaylee and I finished her clothes I and Natalie moved onto her dresser! That was the same thing except we packed and discarded size 4 for Lily and put size 5 into her dresser! Talk about a TON of work!!! Then the girls and I tackled the clothes that were in bags in their closet! Those ranged from 2T-7!! Ugh!! Next is the shoes that are in their closet! Joe got home just as we were wrapping up the clothes in bags.. He hauled the things 'to be sold' out so we could get them up to the garage for further s...

So much to do..

I spent almost 5 hours in the garage at Joe's parents this evening.. I feel like I got half of the sorting done.. Then comes washing what needs washing and pricing!! :-/ plus I have a boat load of stuff to go though here at home too!!! We are trying to downsize tremendously!! With only one child left to fill the girl clothes, my goal is one small tote for each size! 24months-2T = one tote, 3T = one tote, etc! That means depleting half of the clothes in each size!! Yup! That's right! My girls have enough clothes to clothe an army of little girls!! Haha My goal is to have the garage sale August 26-28.. That way we can spend the 29th with kaylee! Kaylee has chosen to go to Valleyfair with Joe and myself for a day! Even discount tickets are spendy! $26/each! So I told her in order to go to Valleyfair we will need to have the garage sale to have 'extra' money for that. She understands that we aren't made of money but doesn't understand just how expensive some things...

Holy Camoly!!

Today was a busy day! This morning the kids and I went to the bank, then this afternoon Nathan went with Kimmy and Grandma to the Burnsville mall while I took the girls to the park! They enjoyed it! We played on the swings, slides, monkey bars, and the tire swing! Lily giggled on the tire swing but then began to look very out of it so we stopped.. She must have gotten dizzy even though we didn't spin much or very fast. Lillian, Kaylee and Natalie at the park Once Joe got home we hooked the van up to the boat and took it down to Le Sueur where we have half of our belongings in storage on Joe's parents land. I can't believe how much crap we have!! I kid you not, we have 7, yes 7, totes of toys alone!!!! Oy!! Plus girls' clothes!!! Some too big for one, some too small for everyone, some that we need right now! Ugh! The boat is packed full of boxes and totes for me to sort through so we can get out what we need right now and get rid of what we don't need! Which is 80% o...
