I started this blog late last night and didnt finish it until this morning so it is really intended as Friday, August 20, 2010's blog even though it says Saturday!
A fairly simple day again.. The kids and I ran to the post office and the bank this morning. Our typical Friday duty as Joe's check is what we are after each Friday! Direct deposit should hopefully start next week as we sent in the needed form and voided check about two weeks ago. Just before lunch time the older girls left with Joe's brother, Richie, to help him up at Grandma & Grandpa's house. I'm not sure what they helped with but it gave me a little break and allowed quiet time for Lily and Nathan to get a nap in.
Once Joe got home we talked about what we wanted to do for the night. I really wanted to go sort through the totes of toys, but Joe wasn't having it. He wanted to go to the LeSueur County Fair where 'Papa John' was to be in the demolition derby. Well we couldn't go do that as we didn't have a babysitter for the babies and they are both too small to go to a derby. So I suggested going to visit in Carver, where his grandma lives. So we did.. We brought over lettuce, tomatos, bacon and bread so we could make BLTs for dinner. So Granny, Vicki, Joe and I ate BLTs while the kids, Nick, Caitlyn, Kaylee, Natalie, and Lily, ate pizza! Nick and Caitlyn are Joe's cousins who are over at Granny's house often as they only live near a mile away. We sat and visited a while and then decided we wanted to get Nathan home before he needed his next bottle.
So we headed home. On the way I remembered that my car charger was once again SHOT!! Stupid piece of junk! Its the second one I have had since September 3, 2009 that just quit working on me! Thankfully the AT&T store that I bought it from replaces them for one year from the date of purchase so I got free replacements! Crap part of that is, the store I got it from is on the third level of the Mall of America! :-/ Okay I know I shouldn't complain as I live just 20 minutes from the 'Mall of America' and can go there any time I would like! But, this mall is HUGE and I hate going there because it is always SO crowded!! The tourists should really find a different mall to hang out at as we have plenty that are about 20-30 minutes in each direction from MOA! Haha! Right! Anyways back to the ride home, I remembered the charger was junk and talked to Joe about Kaylee and I going to the mall to have it replaced. So that was okay and we brought Joe, Natalie, Lily, and Nathan home. Kaylee and I went to the mall and actually ended up right next to the store we needed to go to when we parked so we ventured in and got another replacement charger and we were done in a matter of minutes. So I asked her if she would like to go to Old Navy and check out what they had on the clearance shelves and of course she wanted to! So off we went.. She was extremely impressed that Old Navy was two levels at this mall! We checked out the clearance section to find not one single piece of clothing in her size! So we left.
We got in the car with every intention on hitting up the Burnsville Mall's Old Navy on our way through Burnsville, but it was already 8:30 at night and I couldn't remember if they closed at 8 or 9 so we headed to Target in town instead. Our goal: to get a movie! We did just that plus two extras! I have been itching to see 'Remeber Me' with Robert Pattinson (Twilight Saga's Edward). So first we grabbed 'Last Song' with Miley Cyrus, another I wanted to see, and then we also got 'Free Willy' from the $5 section and then I was bound and determined to find 'Remember Me' so we even asked an employee for help locating it. And off we went.
By the time we got home it was already after 9:00 so the kids all went to bed. Joe and I sat up and watched 'Remember Me' together. It was a good movie. Not great by any means but it was good. We didn't expect it to end the way it did. But incase you haven't seen it I won't spoil it for you. :o)
