First Day of School

Today Kaylee started at the private school in town. I pulled her out of the public schools on Thursday after she was choked on Wednesday by the girl who has bullied her for the past two years! I have dealt with the principal on this matter since first grade and he sat on his thumbs and didnt do anything besides 'talk to the girls'. At the end of last year he promised both Kaylee and I that he would make sure that this girl would not be in the same class as Kaylee for this year. Kaylee came home after the first day of school and told me this girl was in her class. I immediately called the principal on this! He again 'talked to the girls'. I asked him to switch this girl out of Kaylee's class because she was not on the class list at open house! His solutions were to move Kaylee to another class (why should she be moved if she was never the child causing the problems?!) or it was to 'talk to the girls' and tell them that they need to behave themselves. SERIOUSLY?! Obviously Mr O., your talks did not do a damn bit of good!! How dare this other girl lay a finger on MY daughter!! It started out as verbal abuse and harassment and turned into physical abuse and harassment as time went on. First grade it was spitting on Kaylee and hitting her. Second grade it was both of those things plus punching and pulling her hair. Then third grade and she decides its ok to choke my kid! That didnt fly!! I had enough of dealing with this irresponsible principal who never contacted this girls parents with the issues in the two years prior! Really?!

So anyways, Kaylee was very excited for her first day at the new school! She was more extatic that she knew she wasnt going to have to deal with this other girl and her 'shenanigans' as Kaylee called them.

On Saturday Kaylee went and did the school Marathon with the neighbors. She rode her bike. She came home excited and ready for the new school adventure! Thank you to my awesome neighbors for taking her!! Also on Satuday, I had my first ever car accident.. Yup! Carrie the caravan, the three youngest kids and I crashed into the vehicle in front of us who then crashed into the vehicle in front of them.. I was a hysterical MESS! I still am to say the least! I havent even had a speeding ticket before! I made the mistake of trying to soothe a crying baby in the back seat and turned for a split second and BAM! I think my van took the worst hit of all of the vehicles involved. I need a new grill, bumper, and hood! It just so happens that the car I hit was also a red van just like mine but a chrysler! I felt terrible!! I cried like the worlds biggest baby! No one was injured, but it didnt help that I had three kids in my car, the van in front of me had a gentleman in a wheelchair sitting in their back seat and then the car in front of them it was a middle aged couple. Everyone involved was so nice considering I just smashed their cars! I called 911 right away and then tried calling my insurance agents office (which had just closed for the day 13 minutes prior to the crash) and then I called Joe! I told him he needed to come get the kids. When he showed up the lady that I hit scolded him and told him that he better not yell at me because I had already been through enough. Haha! She was seriously the sweetest thing! And her passenger was too! They all gave me hugs and tried to comfort me. I just felt SO terrible!! All cars were driveable. When I got home I immediately called the claims department with my insurance company to get the claim started so people could get their cars fixed. Then my mom showed up so we could go to her cousins baby shower. That was nice seeing family. It sure didnt take my mind off of what had just happened a few hours prior.. As a matter of fact, I didnt sleep much that night nor last night.. Too much on my mind with the move to the private school and then the accident.

Anyways that is my update for now. I have to go to the clinic to get Kaylee's immunization record for the school and then pick Kaylee up from school and see how her first day went! Praying for awesome news!
