Trying Windows Live Writer

Giving something new a try.. Instead of having to log into blogger each time I want to create a new post I am going to try using Windows Live Writer. If it goes well I will keep using this..

An update on our Sunday & Monday..

Sunday we spent the entire day in Carver while Joe helped install a new front door for his Grandma. We missed Kaylee’s Girl Scout meeting as I was parked in and wasn't going to ask a bunch of working guys to move their vehicles. It was darn cold on Sunday too.. but, it was the warmest day that we are expected to have all of this week! Our highs are supposed to be in the single digits with lows in the below zero ranges!! Eeekk! I hate MN winters! Snowy roads, freezing temps, etc..

Yesterday was a stay at home day for everyone.. Joe made a beef roast with potatoes and carrots for dinner and then I headed out to visit with my girlfriend, Debbie! I sat over by her and talked for about an hour and a half and then I went to pick up a kitty! Yup She is probably 12-14 weeks old and a friend from MOPS found her in her driveway with a soup can stuck on her head.. Before I left to go get the kitty I told Natalie that she could pick the name. As soon as I came home with the kitty and showed her to the girls, Natalie decided her name was ‘Leah’. Which I thought was PERFECT! I registered the kitty’s gray fur and gender with the character Leah from the Twilight Saga’s books and movies. She is a gray wolf. Bwahaha! Yeah call me dorky but it works!

She made herself very comfortable on Joe’s lap for the few minutes that he and I discussed if the cat is something we wanted in the house here or not. Our decision: she will be our indoor baby! Her kitty box will go in the bathroom and since someone already clipped her nails (a little too short) she should be just fine with the kids. She will need to go to the vet though.. For shots and to be fixed when she is of age and to get, at minimum, her front claws removed. She reminds me of Buttons (my other rescue kitty). Buttons I got from the farm when Joe and I first started dating… She was scrawny and needed some TLC! But I am sure that in no time Leah will be comfortable and used to her new home. Lily is just goo goo for kitties so it’s perfect! She will have to get closed up in the living room until she learns to not sit on the babies or until the babies are big enough to defend themselves but that’s not going to be a problem I am sure! Buttons was EXCELLENT with Kaylee when Kaylee arrived! She would sleep in the crib with Kaylee but she would be on the end that Kaylee wasn't on curled up in her own blanket!
