Painting..

Yeah painting.. I HATE IT! I have always hated painting! But it has to be done so I did some.. We started in Nathan's bedroom. A friend of ours came to help us out for a couple of hours! Lance (Jewy) fixed my door knob, trimmed the paint in Nate's room and checked some outlets. If he hadn't shown up today, I don't think we would have started painting. Thank you Jewy!!!

I went to the house around 12:30pm to start pulling nails out of the walls. I kid you not, there is a pile of nails and sinkers on my counter right now! The previous owners were nuts with how much they hung. Joe barked that I am not allowed to put nails into the walls to hang stuff, but little does he know I will be hanging stuff!! Once I buy stuff of course! We were not allowed to hang things in the apartment so I never bought home decor! Regretting it now though! And I have ZERO interior design skills!!! This could get messy haha!

Tomorrow is Kaylee's last day as a second grader!! Man that makes me feel old! But then I remind myself that I had her young so I'm really not THAT old!

Joe's sister Lori came back to the house today to help watch the kids so we could get some work done. She took them to Lowes to get some flowers and then to McDonald's to get them some food. By the time she came back she let me know that my kids are a hand full! which I already knew haha but I'm glad I'm not the only one to see that. She actually came into where we were painting and said to me "I don't know how you do it!". I told her that I wasn't sure haha but they are more then a full time job. Now if my husband could realize that. He thinks I just sit on my bum all day long haha. Yeah right! My kids make that physically impossible!! I would trade him jobs in a heartbeat if I could!

I am hoping we can get into the house tomorrow without any of the kids! They make it very difficult to get any work done. Love them dearly, but it really is tough to work with them around.

We didn't get the garbage disposal replaced, the faucet replaced, or anything else we wanted to, but that's how life goes!! Tomorrow is another day and we will get more done little by little. But for now, I'm going to bed!! It has been another long and busy day but you can't expect anything else when you buy a home let alone a home that needs a little tlc!
