We were headed home by 6:30pm after having BLTs for dinner with Joe's parents. We decided to go pick up some absolutely amazing strawberry banana smoothies from Caribou and then we took the kids down to Huber Park!!
Lillian has NEVER played at the park before so it was rather interesting to say the least. She absolutely LOVED the swings!!! She giggled like only my Lillian can giggle!!! I even caught a 45 second video on my phone that I will share if I can figure out how to! But when we took her over to the slides it was a whole other story! Even with big sister Nan by her side, she was absolutely terrified!!
Lily loving the swings!
Natalie on the bouncy horse!
Kaylee on the other bouncy horse!
Natalie and Lily at the top of the slide. Lily is trying to escape..
Kaylee and Nan ran around the park and wore themselves out! Unfortunately we did not have time for me to push them on the tire swing tonight. Nathan became cranky and needed to eat soon so we opted to go home and finish our adventure next week.
We will be waiting until next because tomorrow marks the beginning of the annual Shakopee gathering. Derby Days is fun! It lasts from Wednesday until Sunday evening. I'm hoping that the girls are extra good tomorrow so we can bring our blanket down to the park tomorrow night and watch Monsters vs Aliens outside!!! :) I have not seen this movie yet even though its one I guess we have! So I am looking forward to it!! I am sure it'll just be the older two girls and myself as daddy has to work the next morning and the park is down by the river so the Mosquitos will be nasty and the babies will need to stay away from them. But that's okay! We need some quality one on two time with just the big girls! Maybe I'll pack some snacks and drinks too! :)
If you would like to get an idea of what we will be up to for the rest of the week and part of the weekend you can check out the Shakopee Derby Days website at:
http://www.shakopeederbydays.com/
You can click on 'Event Schedule' on the left hand side to see all the things that are going on!
I hope to see those of you that are local around down there!!!
I will update this post with pictures once I get my laptop to a wi-fi location!! :) so be sure to continue to check back!
