Feeling silly..

Haha! I just figured out how to update this blog on my iPhone and I have had it set up for a few months now! How terrible is that?!

I will start off with where we are at this very moment:

Joe is working at Caterpillar in Brooklyn Park! We are hoping that he can sign on to work directly for the company soon. Because we are not currently in a lease at the moment we are available to move closer to Brooklyn Park if he does get a job working directly for CAT!

Kaylee is 7, almost 8, years old! She will be starting second grade this fall! Believe it or not we are only 28 days from her first day of school for the year and we still have no idea who her teacher will be or when open house is! Yikes!! We did however go backpack shopping! :) I even found the school supply at Target and Office Max! Since they were the exact same lists I felt it would be safe to buy her supplies!! Her whole list consists of: backpack, paint t-shirt, pencil box, a pair of scissors, a pack of colored pencils (any size), a pack of post it notes, and a box of sandwich size baggies!! Oh and I can't forget the $5 activity fee! That's right!! No pencils, notebooks, folders, glue, etc! I guess this is what the $5 fee is for so the teachers have consistancy with all of the students school supplies. Hey whatever makes it easier for them as long as it doesn't make my life difficult I am all up for it! :)

Natalie is 3, almost 4, years old!! She is a very busy and smart little girl! She loves to play with her sisters and help do chores on the farm! She has quite the imagination too!!! For the past few months she has had an imaginary friend named George. She plays with him and makes sure he is buckled in his seat in the van! And even when she has done something she should have done.. That's right! George was there to tell her to do it or he had done it himself! :) July 24 she decided she wanted a hair cut!! Oh boy! She really out did Kaylee's self hair cutting experience! I'll be sure to load some pictures once I get my laptop to a wi-fi spot!!

Lillian (Lily) just celebrated her first birthday this past Thursday!! The last year has gone by so quickly!! Of my girls, Lillian has been the healthiest! Minus her hospital stay back in January with pneumonia! Ick! She just started walking these past few days! She is my late bloomer with nearly everything! From rolling, to crawling, to getting her first tooth, and now walking! Kaylee walked just days before she turned 11 months old and Natalie was running accross the apartment at just 8 months!! Lily loves to follow her big sisters around! And she also loves to sit and love on her little brother! She also LOVES food!! Yup that might explain why my cute pudgy 12 month old weighs 23 pounds!! :) We will be taking her to get her ears pierced soon! Kaylee had hers pierced at 11 months, Natalie was 13 months so Lily will be joining them! It's something we do for their "first birthday"! It is NOT something Nathan will be joining his sisters in!! We will have to find something else to do for his first birthday! :)

Nathan is 4 weeks old today!! Born July 5th!! He was born at 3:56pm and weighed 9 pounds 6 ounces and was 22 inches long!! Not to mention that he was here 6 days early! Lord knows he would have weighed more then Natalie did if he would have been two weeks late!! Need I remind you that Natalie was born exactly two weeks late and was 10 pounds 6 ounces and 22 inches!! We are currently working on getting Nathan to sleep through the night! He seems to be getting closer each day! Initially he would eat at 9 or 10pm and be up by 2am for his next bottle.. And then again 3-4 hours after that for yet another bottle! Now we feed him around 9:30pm and he will sleep until 3 or 4am!! Today he got his first 6 ounce bottle! He had a little spit up but nothing that made me think that he had too much to eat!

As for me.. I am still a stay at home mom! It'll be two years August 20th! :-/ I must say I miss working! I miss the paycheck each week that said "hey thanks for working!" but I must also say that my job as a stay at home mom is by no means a cake walk! Working outside of the home was much easier! Sure I take a cat nap when everyone is is napping but I'm sure every mom of a 4 week old baby can say the same! Then we throw in the 1 year old, 3 year old, and 7 year old and wow we have an eventful day! :) Kaylee is a good helper and Natalie needs to be given "tasks" to keep her busy or we all know that she will get herself into something she shouldn't! :) (ex. Washing dishes in the toilet - thankfully it was one of those disposable dishes so I pitched it). My paycheck as a stay at home mom is the best paycheck anyone could give! I get to watch my babies grow! I get to teach them! I get to see them more than a working mom sees her children. God has blessed us to be able to keep me at home with them! It's something that I try to not take for granted!

I can't imagine not having these kids to keep me busy! Life would be awfully boring!! I will do my best to update this blog frequently! If not for everyone to read I'd like to keep it up for myself so I can remember things! Like my kids growing up! I have a terrible memory unless it comes to dates and numbers and I don't want to forget anything!
