Apple Valley

Lets see, new news...

Kaylee will have her cookies and can start selling them on Febraury 5th!!!!! That's right! Just one month away and as soon as you order, you will have cookies in your hand!! So plan ahead and save your money! Her goal is 300 boxes this year! Once she sees the American Girl Doll as the prize on the 1,500 boxes, that will be her goal just because she really wants an American Girl Doll! If you are interested in helping Kaylee reach her goal but dont want to eat the cookies, you can still help! Girl Scouts now has a program called 'Care & Share'. So you buy the cookies and then donate them to the troop who will then donate them to the food shelf, or a nursing home, or send some to the troops, etc. I am not exactly sure where the Care & Share cookies went last year as I have a TERRIBLE memory!

So far Joe likes his new job!! There are a few things even that he says are better then at Caterpillar! One for example, he gets paid OT any day that he works over 8 hours per day! So if he works four 10 hour days, he will get paid his regular 40 hours PLUS 8 hours of overtime because he had 2 hours over 8 hours each day!  Another is, he just got a $140 pair of boots that the company paid for right away and then he earns $6/month towards new boots. Another, he gets 3 weeks of PTO right away! Which is more then some people get when they have been with a company for 5+ years!

I asked him if he would go back to CAT if he saw that they were hirring, and he said probably not.. SO that must mean that he really likes what he has seen of Ziegler so far!

We are talking about moving to Apple Valley.. A.) its closer driving distance for Joe to get to work B.) its a hop skip and a jump to get onto 35W (which is right next to Zieglers) C.) Its just the perfect amount of space away from everyone! D.) Its a clean town and we hear that the schools are good. etc!

Yes my grandparents house is in Apple Valley and even if that house doesnt work out for us, that is still the town we are looking in! :o)

Hopefully by this summer we can have found where we are headed and be in before school starts again..

We will keep our doctor here in Shakopee. We will keep Kaylee in her Girl Scout troop. We will keep our dentist. But that is all we want to have stay the same..

I think it would be a GREAT change for us! :o)

We are most looking forward to the things that being in a house will give us. Our own kitchen, a washer and dryer, a bathroom with a shower, more space, etc! But for now, we are not getting our hopes set on anything yet. There are so many houses on the market and new ones appear each day! So until we find the perfect one and the time is right in God's eyes we wont be jumping the gun! :o)

  1. ooh yay! A House would be fun :) It's definitely a challenge and definitely a responsibility but it would be so nice for you and your family to have their own space. The kids to have possibly larger bedrooms, a yard to play in, room to move...

Although we'd miss you guys terribly if you moved!!!

  2. Apple Valley isnt too far! :o) And I dont think the kids could get a bigger yard to play in then the one that we are at now haha but yes their own yard, our own space, etc = AWESOME! We are praying like crazy that it works for us! We need everything to fall into place now!
